Samyata Sharma
Samyata Sharma is Oregon HOSA’s 2025–2026 President and a rising senior at Sunset High School. As a three-year HOSA member, she has had the opportunity to experience WLA, ILC, and Oregon’s SLC, competing in events like Forensic Science and Biomedical Debate. Samyata hopes to pursue a career in health policy, and HOSA has been her gateway into the healthcare field. A member of speech and debate since 7th grade, she always loves a good discussion. With prior experience as Oregon HOSA’s President-Elect, Samyata can confidently say that early exposure to professional environments is invaluable to a student’s education. The ability to speak or research well means so much more when it’s used to build connections and expand your impact through collaboration and hard work. An avid seamstress and music lover, Samyata’s hobbies range from learning multiple Indian dance styles and sewing homecoming dresses for her friends to playing a few instruments. She’s also involved in several volunteer efforts, including leading her school-based charity club for foster youth, Sunset Cares, and working shifts at a small business affiliated with her local library. Service and a dedication to compassionately caring for others are values deeply embedded in HOSA, as clearly seen in all of its amazing members. Samyata is so excited to continue serving you all in her position as Oregon HOSA State President!
